What We Believe
The Apostolic Faith is fully biblically based and it's precepts include but are not limited to such biblically complete beliefs and doctrines (teachings) as:
The Infallibility of the Bible
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Revelation 22:18-21
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of
the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add
unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take
away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part
out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are
written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I
come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The ONENESS of God...
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might.
Deuteronomy 32:39
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I
kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can
deliver out of my hand.
... that Jesus, Messieh and Christ, is God of the Old and New Testaments
Phillipians 2:5-7
Let this mind be in you, which was
also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made
in the likeness of men:
Hebrews 1:1-4
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the
fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir
of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of
his glory, and the express image of his person, and
upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our
sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Being made so much
better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name
than they.
Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
All power
is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
...rebirth through Baptism in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ
John 3:3-5
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter
the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water
and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Romans 6:3-5
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus
Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even
so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been
planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness
of his resurrection:
...water baptism by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Acts 2:36-40
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that
God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto
Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name
of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all
that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves
from this untoward generation.
Romans 6:3-7
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus
Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are
buried with him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so
we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have
been planted together in the likeness of
his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his
resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the
body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
...the reception of the Holy Ghost by every believer with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance ...
Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that
cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
He shall baptize you with
the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Acts 2:1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled all the house where they were sitting. And there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
1 Corinthians 14:21-22 & Isaiah 28:11
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not:
...the living of a holy life
Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Leviticus 20:7
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
1Peter 1:15-16
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all
manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
...the second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 21:9-13
But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
But there shall not an hair
of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.
Joel 2:30-32
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth,
blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.
Amos 8-11
8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every
one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it
shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. And
it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun
to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into
lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon
every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end
thereof as a bitter day. Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will
send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of
hearing the words of the LORD:
Matthew 24:29-31
Immediately after the tribulation of
those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and
the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all
the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the
clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels
with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from
the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
